Privacy policy

Short version: What you practise stays on your device. There are no ads and no tracking. An account is optional; if you create one, we keep only your email, an account ID and your plan answers, and our payment partner records your App Store purchases.

What stays on your device

Your practice results, levels, notes, names and facts you save, memory-palace places, associations, preferences and an optional cancellation reason are stored only in the app's storage on your device. We have no server that receives them. If you use iCloud or computer backups, your device may include this data in its backup under Apple's terms.

The Memory Trips newsletter (optional)

If you sign up on this website, we store your email address and send you one email a week. We only add you after you click the confirmation link we email you. We use Resend to store the list and deliver the emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove your address by writing to [email protected]. This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.

If you create an account (optional)

You can sign in with Apple, Google or an email code. We then store your email address (with Sign in with Apple this can be Apple's private relay address), an account ID, how you signed in, and your plan answers (goals, the memory slips you picked and your daily minutes). These are kept on our database provider, Supabase, and used only to run your account. Email codes are delivered by our email provider. We never store your Apple or Google password.

Purchases and RevenueCat

Subscriptions are sold by Apple. We use RevenueCat to keep track of which purchases belong to which account (and to see subscription totals). RevenueCat receives your App Store purchase history and your account ID (not your email).

What we don't do

We don't use advertising software, don't track you across apps or websites, don't sell data, and don't use your data for advertising. Using the app without an account is fully supported.

Payments

Apple processes all payments. We never see your card or payment details.

Notifications

Practice reminders and the optional trial-ending reminder are local notifications scheduled on your device. They're optional and can be turned off in iOS Settings.

Things you choose to share

If you send a bug report, share a result or export your data, the app opens the iOS share sheet and the content goes only where you choose (for example, an email to us). Bug reports include a screenshot only if you add one. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply, and delete support emails within 24 months.

This website

mindloci.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics. The memory test runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and time) for security, for a limited period.

Deleting your data

Account: in the app, Settings › Account › Delete account. This deletes your account and plan answers from our servers right away. Practice data on the phone: Settings › Delete all local learning data, or delete the app. You can also email us to delete your account. Neither cancels a subscription; manage that in your Apple Account settings.

Children

Mindloci is designed for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
